Contact Calc Garden
Questions, corrections or a request for a calculator we do not have yet? We would love to hear from you. We read every message and use your suggestions to decide which tools to build next.
Email us at hello@calcgarden.com. There is no contact form, no ticket number and no chatbot in between. Messages go to the same small team that builds the site.
Reporting a wrong number
This is the message we most want to receive, and it goes to the front of the queue ahead of anything else on the list. A correction is much faster to act on if you include three things:
- The page, either the full address or the name of the calculator.
- The exact values you entered, so we can reproduce what you saw.
- The result you got and the result you expected, and where your expected figure comes from if it is a published rate or band.
If a figure on the site turns out to be wrong or out of date, we fix the page and change its update date to the day of the fix, so the correction is visible rather than silent. If the number is right but the page explained it badly, that is also worth telling us, and it gets treated the same way.
Requesting a calculator
Tell us the calculation you are trying to do and, if you can, what you were searching for when you did not find it. The useful detail is the decision behind the number rather than the formula. Knowing that you were comparing two job offers, or working out whether a bulk pack is actually cheaper, shapes which inputs a tool needs far more than the arithmetic does.
We cannot promise a date, and some requests are better answered by an existing tool with a new mode than by a new page. Either way the request is read. Before writing, it is worth checking the full list of calculators and the guides, since the tool you want may exist under a name you did not think to search for.
Sources, methods and reuse
If you want to know where a figure came from or how a result is worked out, ask. Most pages set out the method and the assumptions underneath the tool, but if a page does not answer your question then the page is the thing that needs improving, and we would rather hear about it.
Press enquiries, corrections to how the site is described elsewhere, and questions about privacy or data all go to the same address. The privacy policy covers what the site collects, and about covers who runs it and how the calculators are built.
What we cannot help with
Calc Garden provides general informational tools only and cannot offer personalised financial, tax, legal or medical advice. We cannot tell you which mortgage to take, review your tax return, or interpret a health measurement for your particular situation. For any of those, please speak to a qualified professional who can see your full circumstances. We also cannot recover anything you entered into a calculator, because those values never leave your browser and are not stored anywhere.
